Divergent money matters

"Financial literacy is not about wealth creation,

it's about hardship prevention,

and that starts with education."

About Snowgum Road

The snow gum (Eucalyptus pauciflora), native to the Australian landscape, is a robust and hardy tree with unique twisted limbs and bark that constantly change and adapt under the stress of winter snowfall. Just like this resilient tree, we too must adapt to the changing financial environment. By educating ourselves, we can ensure that when the storm hits, we are ready for the road ahead.

The Mission

I am committed to advocating for a more inclusive world where neurodivergent individuals can learn, work, and thrive uniquely, free from bias or stigma through keynote presentations, workshops and developing bespoke social scripts for events.

The Australian financial system is complex with many moving parts. To ensure your business is inclusive of the diverse minds and specific needs, it is important that  you learn about supporting the neurodivergent experience from those who are the experts in this area – the neurodivergent.

For the neurodivergent, learning financial literacy skills from neuro-kin provides a safe and unique perspective around the nuances of neurodivergence and how this specifically affects a person’s financial situation.

With almost a decade of experience in social justice and financial hardship, I hope to guide organisations and the neurodivergent to come together to ensure everyone can experience financial inclusion equitably.

Feedback

Feedback on the Neurodivergent Toolkit:

I’ve just had a chance to read (the neurodivergent toolkit and) I wanted to say how amazing this is. I love it. You have done something very special here that is easy to read and understand.

I’ve just seen your document ‘The Neurodivergent Toolkit’ and wanted to say WOW!!

What a brilliant idea and document. It’s a very good introduction for our people to use to begin to understand the differences for a range of people who perceive the world differently.

Thank you and well done!

So very inspired by your passion for your work with neurodivergence and creating the toolkit guide.

Feedback from the pilot session of Divergent Money Matters: Your workshop is so thorough, thoughtful and makes finances feel less intimidating. You establish safety and kindness as soon as people enter the room. It can be easy to feel shame around money and what you have/don't have, know/don't know, but the way you deliver information and the kindness you show makes that shame start to dissolve and turn into curiosity and openness to learn. Thank you so much for sharing you passion and knowledge.
